Woo! Christmas Holidays at last!

Last day at school today :) WOO! Christmas Holidays FTW! Can't wait until Christmas day and I get Legend of Zelda : Twilight Princess, Red Steel and Super Monkey Ball: Banana Blitz. Tommorow, me and my bro are going to start writing the reviews and guides for Wii Sports and Wii Play and I'm going to get my Wii website online ASAP. It's looking nice. Anyways, may post on this in the oncoming days, but, in advance, have a merry Xmas!

Wii UK, and my Wii Site

Well, Wii UK just went down due to 'bandwidth limit exceeded'. I was on the forum as well :(. It says this "Bandwidth Limit Exceeded
The server is temporarily unable to service your request due to the site owner reaching his/her bandwidth limit. Please try again later. " Anyway, I am now making my own website, along with my brother, with video playtests, reviews and a forum. I'm in the process of designing it for the Wii and PC/Mac browsers, and writing reviews etc. The news has now come out that Opera are releasing their 'trial' version of their browser for the Wii this Friday. 'Trial' meaning that the full version isn't finished yet... Anyway, better get back to designing my site, it is looking wicked!

Yesterday...

This is yesterday's blog entry, which I didn't get round to doing. Anyway, had to go Christmas shopping yesterday :(. I reached 'pro' status in Wii Tennis! WOO! WOO! My YouTube video now has 30,000 hits :D. Anyway, I was thinking about the thought controlled console and thought it may be the way to go, if it is possible. I have read around the internet about scientists attaching electrodes to the brain and allowing people to think through the game. However, some of these required implants to be put in the brain, and these are still prototypes. I think that there may be a working public prototype at the GAME ON exhibition in the Science Museum, I might try going at some point.

Some Driver Went Crazeee

OK, time for today's blog entry. I found this video of youtube. Man that must have been fun... He only had minor injuries.

On the video I mentioned two days ago I know have ten honours and 18,000 views. Woah! Think I'll make some more stuff on youtube. Any ideas? Anyway, I was looking at thought control on youtube and wondered if this might be the way forward for the new consoles? It would be fun to actually have your mind in the game. More on this tommorow while I get to work designing one...

Speculation about games consoles...

Went to see happy feet with my class today. Not the best movie ever... :D. Anyway, I read about some people who were hacking the wii-mote to get it working on the PC. I tried... but failed. I think I need to update my bluetooth drivers. I heard there was going to be a recall on the straps for the Nintendo Wii Controller, not my biggest concern. I'd never be stupid enough to actually let go of the wii remote. Ah, I also got an honour on the previously mentioned wii video! WOOT! Most Viewed - Today - Video Games!! :)
And now, I'll speculate about new consoles. I reckon it'll be something even more immersive then the wii, and this time the other companies will go with it. Maybe something that interprets your body movements and puts them in the game. This worked ok with eyetoy but it wasn't the huge success that they hoped. I also think that the winner will have good connectivity with other people from around the world, via the internet. You'll be able to video chat, interact and do many other things in a sort of lobby friend style place. Sort of like the real world :). Meanwhile, it may just be another long road to reach realism, which, maybe is a good thing but to be honest, I'd prefer something a little bit more fun :D. End with a few images made by various people, these look very cool, might have a go at designing one of my own, actually. Keep checking back.

A bit... A bit...

Iz niiccceee.

I thought this was a nice little one... I think it's actually in production. I wouldn't buy it, too tacky.

Cool Wii Easter Egg

Hi all, had a normal-ish day today. Played on my wii with a friend for a bit and made a very funny video that you should watch, here it is! You'll laugh.

EDIT : Embedded video now available
Anyways, I think the Wii's shaping out to be a nice console, it's cool finding all those glitches! There's some in bowling, golf, wii play etc.
Be sure to come back tommorow! :D
